1. From Repojotos to Siikakoski

The excursion to Repovesi begins with a water section on Lake Niskajärvi, where paddlers can rest at two places.

From the strait of the southern end of Niskajärvi, you get to Lake Suolajärvi, from where canoeing to the left to the east. After small Siikajärvi, we will go to Siikakoski. There is an electric power plant, so you must pass it by lifting the canoe past it.

You must land near the power plant to the left peninsula. There is a small dock. Take the canoe along the path across the road above the power plant. There is also a small pier.

2. From Siikakoski to Repovedesi National Park

From Siikakoski, canoeing continues to Vuohijärvi towards the north. Stay on the lake’s eastern shore to be slightly protected from the wind, and you will find the route forward. In Hillosensalmi you have to watch out for Orilampi’s ship and boats!

In Repovesi National Park, the nearest campfire site is Karhulahti. Kuutinlahti and Lapinsalmi are popular campfire places. In Repovesi National Park, tenting and staying in every campfire place is allowed.

3. Repovesi – Mäntyharju
