About the canoeing routes in the Kouvola area

A versatile body of water

The body of water in our area is very diverse and interesting. There are many lakes and rivers with clear water in the area, as well as darker, but clean waters.

The lakes and rivers above Verla offer nice excursion opportunities in a very quiet area. Our Repojotos Paddling Harbor is the central location there.

You can make day trips and also longer trips from the Repojotos Paddling Harbor. There are well-maintained resting places for paddlers. You can rent canoes and transport services from us to Kouvola, Iitti, and Mäntyharju.

Karijärvi – Niskajärvi paddling route

A new exciting route with clear waters, 14 kilometers of narrow lakes, meandering rivers, and larger lakes at the beginning and end. The entire route is about 24 km.

There are several departure/return points on the route where you can get transport from us for rented equipment, and some paddlers can also be along.

For a day trip to Niskajärvi

From Repojotos to a day trip

It is a short (approx. 3 km) journey from the Repojotos Paddling Harbor to the nearest resting place for paddlers. It is well suited for a 3-5 hour excursion.

There is another similar place in the area 6 kilometers away. Thus, a day trip in a quiet area and the middle of nature will be successful.

to Verla

From Repojotos to Verla

It is about 11 kilometers from Repojotos to Verla. There are two resting places for paddlers along the way. The car can be left at the departure point and the return can be done with Repojotos’ transport service.

From Repojotos to Repovesi National Park and Mäntyharju

You can start your paddling trip from Repojotos paddling port and paddle to Repovesi National Park or even to Mäntyharju. It is a good idea to reserve enough time for the trip and transport services.

To Kimola Canal

Excursion to the Kimola canal

A brisk day trip or enjoying the whole weekend from Iitti via the Kimola canal to Vuolenkoski. A possible starting point is Repovesikeskuksen Kimolan laituri.

Väliväylä Route

Lappeenranta -Kouvola

There are many starting points on the route Väliväylä. So, the trip can last one day or even a week. You can get advice and transport from us for the canoes/kayaks and a few people (max. four people).
